There are a few scenarios where a discount code may be automatically removed at checkout:
- Subscription cart: Discount codes can't be stacked with the subscription discount in a standard checkout. If you want to apply a loyalty reward code to a subscription, see the article "Can I use a discount code on a subscription order?" for the correct steps.
- Sale item conflict: Some codes don't apply to already-discounted or sale items.
- Expired during checkout: If your session ran long, a code could have expired between when you entered it and when you completed your order.
- Single-use already applied: If the code was already used on a previous order, it won't apply again.
